Today I’ve teamed up with Diet Coke & my friend Summer of Simple Stylings to bring you a little Christmas cheer in the form of a fancy drink display. A couple of weeks ago I met up with Summer at her pretty Charlotte home where we played Christmas music, popped the bubbly and chatted blogging and mommy-ing as we styled this shoot. We wanted to create an easy drink station for anyone out there who is throwing a holiday gathering but maybe doesn’t have a bar, bar cart or just wants to set up a drink display around the Christmas tree.
In this post: Blazer | Top | Jeans | Shoes | Clutch | Sunglasses | Necklace // It was 54 degrees in the mountains today which means I can only imagine how nice the weather was on the coast. Even though it is December I think that you can get away with still wearing sleeveless blouses like this one and open-toed wedges if it is warm enough out. Just make sure your pedicure game is on-point. I think this outfit would be great to wear to a lunch or a casual holiday affair during the day-time. I also really love these cropped frayed jeans from Augusta Twenty so much. They look really great with wedge booties or pumps. So what do you think? Would you still wear open-toed shoes in December if the weather allows?

Tree | Pink Ornaments | Blue Ornaments | Purple Ornaments | Candy Cane Ornaments | Cow Painting | Rug I finally got around to decorating the girls’ tree in their room this weekend! I found this Rose Gold beauty of a tree at Target and couldn’t turn it down! It is 6′ tall, pre-lit and was 30% off with the cartwheel app. We hung colorful ornaments from Target’s Christmas section. Someone gave us this advent book last year (I honestly can’t remember who) and it’s filled with ornaments that are actually tiny books with the Christmas story. Some of the reviews on Amazon say it isn’t 100% biblically accurate so I’m going to read through them each day and omit whatever the inconsistencies are. If I had it to do over I would have printed these advent cards and made them into ornaments. The Jesus Storybook Bible is one of our favorites!

Jacket | Turtleneck | Jeans | Clutch | Shoes | Necklace | Bangles | Sunglasses Colorful coats are everywhere this winter! While I will always be partial to a trusty camel or black I really do love the muted pastels that are popping up in outerwear collections everywhere. This beautiful rose-colored coat from Buru is no exception. It’s soft, has pockets and is a great length. I’m wearing it with my new favorite turtleneck, black skinny jeans and my go-to leopard heels. It’s a tee so it’s lightweight and I love the longer length. I personally love to play it safe and wear neutrals with color. You can never go wrong with black, white or stripes. If you are interested in giving the colored coat trend a spin here are a couple of options for you!

A white Christmas tree, pretty bulbs, sparkly coasters and a ton of your favorite beverages including Diet Coke & Veuve Cliquot. That is what my friend Summer decorated with when she threw a little pre-Christmas party to kick off the holiday season. I wasn’t able to attend because it was Hayden’s third birthday but I asked her if I could share the photos with my readers anyways. (#FOMO)
