Two weeks ago I was wrapping up a beautiful trip to Sea Island for The Southern C. The conference was fantastic and I honestly cannot say enough good things about the excellence of execution, quality of speakers and opportunities for networking. If you want to read a little bit more about The Summit you can check out this post. Not only was the conference top notch but the resort where it was held was unbelievable! Sea Island is a five start resort on the coast of GA with five miles of private beach, a 65,000 SF five-star spa, three golf courses, a fitness center and endless dining options. There are four options for lodging at Sea Island; The Cloister, The Lodge, The Inn and The Cottages. The Cloister is the “main” property and is an impressive 5-star luxury hotel.
If you're on the hunt for a place to vacation this fall where you can be within driving distance of Greenville, SC & Asheville, NC with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge mountains then you need to consider a stay at Hotel Domestique in Travelers Rest, SC. This European-style hotel is located just 20 minutes north of Greenville, SC and a hop, skip and a jump from downtown Travelers Rest where my beloved Tandem Creperie and one of the best spots for pizza in the upstate are located. Tucked into the countryside of the Carolina hills, Hotel Domestique is like a little slice of Europe right off of highway 25. The property is home to 13 elegantly decorated rooms, a salt-water pool and an unbelievable on-site restaurant. Luckily for me this spot is pretty much in my backyard so Katheryn and I recently took a little trip to check it out!

When I first moved to the Holy City after college it was 2008 and there was this cool new boutique that had opened a year before. It was owned by two uber stylish brunettes and they filled their store with the hottest trends and celebrity styles. If I ever needed an outfit for a night out or a day by the beach it was my go-to. Fast forward 8 years later and iiBrunettes is still going strong and is as relevant as ever. I love their slightly edgy, slightly boho and forever trendy selection. In a world filled with seersucker and bright pastel fruit prints it is a breath of fresh air.
If you're in Upstate SC or Western NC and are look for a yummy spot to grab brunch this Saturday, or Sunday, or Monday, or any day that ends in y…. then head on over to Tandem Creperie! I could just end this blog post with the fact that they serve STRAWBERRY NUTELLA WAFFLES but because of my love for coffee, crepes and cuteness I will go on! Tandem is located on Main Street in Travelers Rest, SC which is a uber-cute little town just a hop, skip and a jump away from Greenville.
Today I’m bringing you a little Q&A with Atlanta based artist, Paige Kalena Follmann. Her pieces are filled with neutral, soft colors and thick palette knife work in an abstract impressionistic manner. I love a lot of her series but I think my favorites are her figures! and nursery prints! Read a little more about Paige below and check her out on instagram @paigekallenafollmann.
If you've ever driven into downtown Charleston from Lockwood onto Broad then I know that you have noticed the beautiful historic house with the deep green 2-story wrought iron and the black and white checkered tile. It's none other than the John Rutledge House Inn, a Bed & Breakfast operated by Charming Inns. John Rutledge was the first governor of SC, a member of the Supreme Court and one of the 55 signers of the US Constitution. In fact he even drafted the Constitution and entertained Mr. George Washington himself right in this very house.
Did you catch my Beach Day Essentials post a couple of weeks ago? Well included in my beach bag was this beautiful and very colorful ZAGS sun wrap!
Our family lives in the sun all summer long. I’m down to Charleston every chance I get, we spends the weekends on Lake Keowee and if there is sun outside on a day that ends in “y” you can find me at the pool with my two and a half year old and 9 month old. It’s no surprise that this ZAGS wrap is my go-to-product of choice this summer.
