In this weeks episode of #TheStylishSouth I’m talking about my favorite spot for Mexican in Greenville, Local Taco. It is the perfect blend of Tex-Mex meets southern soul food and they use a ton of local ingredients! You can grab a Margarita or house-made sangria and sit on the porch under a string of lights and chat the night away while stuffing for your face with the best dishes around. It’s the perfect blend of a trendy atmosphere with a laid-back vibe and they have huge garage doors that open when it’s nice out. With 8 locations in Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee I’m obviously not the only one who has taken notice!

Circa 1886 is a fine dining restaurant located in the original carriage house of the historic Wentworth Mansion in downtown Charleston, SC. The name derives from the year it was built, 1886, and the character of the structure is still very much in tact. The wood-burning kitchen fireplace, stable doors and original heart-of-pine floors are all original and oozing with charm. One of Charleston’s best restaurants, Circa 1886 serves a seasonal menu with a focus on local product, high quality ingredients and Southern flavors. With traditional Lowcountry dishes created by Chef Marc Collins, Circa 1886 is one of those places that you can know every item ordered will exceed your cullinary expectations.
Kitchen 208 Restaurant is an open kitchen establishment from the culinary team at Circa 1886 and the hospitality group Charming Inns that serves up casual dining on King Street in Charleston, SC. It is the sort of restaurant where all of my dreams come true. It’s quick, casual, offers alfresco dinning, serves really fresh items and REALLY great fries plus it’s right in the middle of the best shopping around.
