It has been a great 7 months since the launch of The Southern Style Guide and we are looking for contributors to join in on the fun!
A Local’s Look will be a new feature on TSSG where our readers will get an inside look at the best cities in the South straight from the locals that live there. If you are a blogger, business owner or just a very in-the-know local with a love of writing and a passion for your town we want to hear from you!
A LOCALS LOOK : The Details
Who We Are Looking For: Locals who love to write and who have great style. It would be awesome if you have a blog or own a local business but we won’t discriminate against desperate housewives with a unique perspective and a pulse on what is happening in your city.
What We Are Looking For: If selected as a contributor, you will write a post about where to shop, what to do and where to eat in your town. Maybe you are a foodie and only want to write about the best restaurants or maybe you are a savvy shopper that can help everyone know the best local spots for decor, clothes and accessories. Just let us know what you are interested in writing about and where you live! Ideally we want to feature major cities in NC, SC, TN, GA, and AL but we are open to expanding our borders. (Just not above the Mason-Dixon)
How You Can Apply: Email Cristin at email@example.com with the following:
– Your name
– Your blog, business or daytime job.
– A quick bio including who you are, how long you have lived in your town, what you love (food, shopping, decor, all of it), what you like to do in your spare time and anything else you want us to know.
– Any social media profiles you have, a headshot, and an example of your writing if applicable.
The deadline for application is May 1st, 2015. At that point we will sift through all of the entries and let you know if you are selected. Please be patient as it may take us a day or two to respond to you!
PS – This idea came to life after a recent trip to Nashville, TN where some lovely locals recommended that we check out Marche, Rosepepper, Mitchell Deli & Eastland Cafe to eat and let us tell you what, they did NOT disappoint. So if you live in or around Nashville you might want to check those out asap. 🙂
